Quick Start
Get up and running in three steps.

Create your project
Sign up at app.helpyap.com and create a project. Give it a name and a slug (e.g.
my-store). - 2
Upload your knowledge base
Go to Project Settings → Knowledge Base and upload your support docs, FAQs, or product guides. The AI will use these to answer customer questions with citations.

Embed the widget
Add one script tag to your website. Replace

What is HelpYap?
HelpYap is a multi-tenant AI customer support platform. It combines an embeddable chat widget, a knowledge base, and an AI agent powered by Anthropic Claude to automatically resolve support tickets.
When the AI cannot answer a question, it escalates to your team via Slack, email, or the built-in admin dashboard. Every conversation is logged, searchable, and ratable.
HelpYap also includes a Social Proof widget (SalesPop) that displays real-time purchase notifications on your site to increase trust and conversions. It integrates with Stripe for live transaction data.
